Microneedling

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma that contains numerous growth factor cells. Your own blood is drawn and then spun in a centrifuge to separate plasma from the rest of blood cells. At Beauty Maison Aesthetics we use the latest technology that allows us to give you the best results. Our PRP systems delivers 16-17 milliliters of plasma while most of other companies are able to deliver on average 8 milliliters of plasma from one tube. This advantage allows us to deliver more nutrients and platelets to treated areas as well as being able to cover bigger areas with one treatment.

PRP promotes skin cells renewal and bio cell repair. Very high levels of platelets and growth factor nurtures, hydrates skin and infuse it with antioxidants.

Microneedling is a procedure using a dermapen with individual sterile needles to create tiny and invisible pricks in the skin. Those micro injuries stimulate body’s own natural healing response. That process will help to produce more collagen and elastin, rejuvenate skin to make it healthier and radiant looking. Skin needling is a safe and controlled treatment method for all skin types. In our clinic we use one of the latest microneedling pens on the market called Dermapen world DP4.  It is one of a few Health Canada approved micro needling pens and the only one in Canada that has a specific setting for scar treatment.

What is the downtime?

This procedure has minimal downtime. Your face will be red immediately after looking like a sunburn. That will not last long and will start to diminish right after the procedure. Depending on the depth of microneedling chosen you may or may not have slight redness for the following day. It is not recommended to wear make up for 24-48 hours post procedure since the skin will be sensitive and having micro channels in the skin open. However you will see the glowing effect immediately, your skin will be looking tighter, smoother and fuller.

How long will results last?
