Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Hand Rejuvenation Treatment

What to Expect During the PRP Hand Rejuvenation Treatment

Once the platelet rich plasma has been obtained, it is injected into the problem areas, such as the hollows of the hand, to stimulate the cells and tissues through collagen renewal. The area may be numbed first before the injection. Cooling gel may be applied to the area to soothe the skin after the procedure. You can take painkillers or apply cold compressions in case you experience any discomfort or pain.

After the injection, you can resume your daily activities even the day of the procedure. You expect to notice a difference on your hands within a month. These results will last about 1 year. What Causes Acne?

The medical provider starts by drawing a small quantity of blood from the arm. The blood is placed in a test tube and placed in a centrifugal device. The device spins the blood at very high speeds, resulting in separation into different layers. PRP serum collects in a layer at the top while red blood cells (RBC) collect at the bottom. Plasma that is also called a “gold liquid” is rich with platelets, growth factors, mesenchymal stem cells, cytokines, and other compounds. How PRP Therapy Works
